Last of Nichole's Favorites...for now.

I love traveling...anywhere. Just to be on the move and see someplace new. I love the "classic" road trip scene: tunes cranked up, windows rolled down, having a stash of treats...the whole shabang.

I love quilts. I admire people who actually have real talent and make beautiful quilts. T-shirt quilts are more on my level as far as sewing goes, and I love my quirky graphic T's and can never part with them, so I have made a T-shirt quilt and I love it! I guess I should have taken a picture of my quilt, but googling one is so much easier!

I love UTAH! I know everyone thinks it's like living in a bubble--sheltered from the real world, but honestly, that's why I like it.

I love old photographs, especially of my family and ancestors, but even if it's not family, I just love having that visual into the past.

Ok, I have never surfed in my life but I always say if I grew up near a beach, I totally would have been a surfer girl. I am fascinated with it! I would love to try it someday.

I love shopping at Tai Pan!
I love shopping at Target!

I love shopping at The Children's Place! It's where I buy probably 90% of Hudson's clothes. They are too cute for what I think are great prices!

This is THE one show that just cracks me up the entire time. It is my FAVORITE TV show. Love it Love it Love it!

I love my sleep. Especially sleeping in. Always have and probably always will. I have been trying to get up earlier lately, but it's a chore. I just love laying there all warm and cozy in my blankets in the peace and quiet.

I guess I like sloths because I feel like I can relate (see photo and caption above)!

I haven't done them in a while, but there was a time when I was totally addicted to Sudoku. So fun!

Another addiction: Sun Chips. My favorite chip. I could eat a whole bag. Seriously.

Awww. Sunset on the beach holding hands with my sweetie. Corny but so perfect!

I absolutely love the rain. I love the smell, the mood it brings, especially warm rains.

I love roller coasters! I wish I could handle them as well as I used to, but still: BRING IT ON! I want to go on the tallest, fastest, scariest roller coaster ever!

I love rub-ons. I just wish they weren't so dang expensive.

My favorite place in the world: SAMOA! I miss it SO MUCH!

One of my favorite magazines. Great ideas.

Whew. It's 1 a.m. I am so bored without Jeff! And tired. Goodnight!

Hunting Widow

Well, it's that time of year again. Hunting Season. And I am a hunting widow. No husband for practically the month of October. Jeff left today to hunt spike elk. He wanted me to go with him but I don't like the idea of being drug up to the mountains and then abandoned. I would much rather stay home and have flushing toilets, showers, a comfy bed, Hudson has his own bed, clean clothes...you know. The necessities of life! (JK...sort of) I'm all for camping and being in the mountains, I just don't like being left by my husband. And I really miss having our own trailer.
So, good luck, sweetie! Hope you have fun and get your elk. Just don't expect me to eat it.

I WON!!!!! GTU Thursday Trivia

One of my favorite shows, Good Things Utah, has a contest every Tuesday and Thursday. If you watch the show the previous day and you are picked, they call you and ask you a question about what you saw on the show the day before. Well, I was chosen and I answered the question correctly! I won $300 worth of scrapbooking stuff!!! I almost didn't enter because I was nervous about getting the question right (it was way easy) and I didn't even really know what I was entering to win (or how much it was worth!), but I saw it was scrapbooking stuff and decided what the heck. Good thing I did! I even thought about it this morning and figured I didn't win since they hadn't called me, but then I got the phone call! They had old information on me, so they called my in-laws house first (where we lived about 3 years ago), they gave them Jeff's phone #, then he gave them my phone #! So I was lucky they even got a hold of me! I was so nervous to speak to Reagan on live TV (just over the phone) but it was so fun! What a nice way to start my day!

Sweet Dreams

Unlike most moms (I think!), I don't find Hudson asleep in places other than his bed very often, so I had to take advantage of taking a picture of my sweet sleeping boy that fell asleep while watching Sesame Street. I love how he got a pillow off of the couch, has his blankie, and stuffed tiger, and the hand under his cheek. Sweet dreams, baby boy.

Fall Harvest

Today we were looking in our garden and discovered most of our cantaloupe has gone rotten. I think they were done growing, and we just kept waiting for them to get bigger, so they went bad. We picked a few little ones that weren't mushy yet, so we'll have to see how they taste. I decided to go ahead and pick most of my Jack be Little pumpkins but there are still a few yellow ones that aren't quite ready. Our corn is finally ready and we had some for dinner and it was delicious! We've also been enjoying a few tomatoes here and there, and we are still getting a few crookneck squash and zucchini. I don't think we're going to be able to harvest any honeydew, and we only have a few little carrots. Oh well. This was our first garden and a big learning experience. I think we'll do better next year! But we have had so much fun with this one and we are blessed to have what we have!

Fall Pictures

We went up Payson canyon with Jeff's brother and his family to take family pictures for each other. Hudson was a stinker for the camera most of the time, but luckily we got a couple of really cute ones. I LOVE the canyon in the fall, it is so beautiful!
After pictures we had a fire and had hamburgers, hot dogs, and smores!
