Spoiled Rotten

Ok, so my computer is dying and having real issues. I can't right click on anything, therefore, I don't know how to cut and paste pictures on here to get them in order, so bear with me.
Friday Jeff came home with flowers for me. I had been having a hard day that day, so I thought they were for that, but they were an early Valentines gift. Then a while later, he hauled some wood in the house and asked me how I wanted my mantle. I have wanted to finish our fireplace ever since we built the house over 4 years ago, it has always bugged me, so I was so surprised and so excited! I thought I should take a before picture, and really, this is about as far as he got in the project after running into some difficulties. He's realizing he's going to need some help. But just the fact that it is being thought of is the greatest gift! So here's the before. As you can tell, I really need help decorating and pulling this part of the house together.
Friday night when we checked the mail, we found a big Valentines Day package sent from my sweet step-mom, dad, and little sister. It was filled with tons of goodies and Swiss chocolate (since my step-mom is from Switzerland!) .
There was also a HUGE gummy snake that Hudson loved! He enjoyed biting it's head off.
(On a side note, notice Hudson's hand? He had an experience with turning the treadmill on full blast and getting some wicked scrapes on his hand and a pretty good bruise on his leg. I know we're lucky that's all it was.)
Saturday was our "celebration" day for V Day. It was wonderful. Jeff's brother brought his kids to our house for the day and watched Hudson for us so we were able to go out for most of the day. Jeff planned the whole day for us. First we went to the movie Valentines Day, complete with popcorn and a drink. Then the best surprise was he took me to Color Me Mine where you get to paint your own ceramics. So we painted a little serving platter together. Then you leave it there to get put in the kiln. I can't wait to see how it turned out. After that we went to dinner. It was so nice to have so much time together and to be able to do so many fun things. He really spoiled me rotten.
Today he gave me a card and Hershey's Bliss raspberry chocolates! I got him running shoes and new socks. Aren't I romantic? Haha. I got a cute book for Hudson called Mole's in Love and a huge marshmallow lollipop he'd been eyeing at Walmart.
After church we went to my moms for dinner, it was fun to spend time with family. I learned how to make cute little roses out of crepe paper. Since I don't have the right click thing you can see how to make them at filthwizardry.blogspot.com They are super cute and fun and easy to make. I would post pics of mine but I'm too lazy.
And finally, here's a pic after Hudson had spent quite a bit of time in his room getting ready for bed. Buzz and Woody jammies, sword in the back of his shirt, cat under the arm, and gun in hand. Oh, and don't forget the dirty, chocolatey face from sneaking 3 cupcakes (leftover from dinner) in the car on the way home. Ready for bed. Good night!

Blogger Burnout

I think I'm getting a little bored with blogging. I still love following other peoples blogs, but sick of doing my own. Sometimes I wonder if it's worth the effort. I started out doing it to keep my family updated, but I think about 95% of my family doesn't even read it! Oh well. I'm sure I'll keep doing it. Maybe it's just that time of the year when all the excitement of the holidays are over and we're just holed up in the house with nothing exciting going on to share. I'm aching for spring so we can start being outside more! Anyway, just wanted to say we're still here.
