Hudson's Hives

Wednesday morning Hudson woke up with a fever and what I though looked like a little heat rash, so I wasn't too worried. I didn't notice any changes until that night when I was changing him into his p.j.'s. The rash had gotten worse and he had a fever of 102. The next morning he looked awful and I took him to the doctor. The doctor said he wished he had a camera or a medical student to show. The doctor thinks it MIGHT be an allergic reaction to the antibiotics he had been taking for the ear infections he has (in both ears), but wasn't sure since it had been a few days since he had quit taking it. He checked his ears, and neither one had cleared up. So he is on steroids for the hives, another medication for the ear infections, and then I have been giving him Benadryl for the itching, and Motrin for the fever. The doctor wanted to check on him again today and thankfully he looks and feels a TON better! Now if we could just get the ear infections to go away. I have to take him back in in about 10 days to see if they have cleared. If not, it looks like we might get to make a trip to the Ear, Nose, and Throat Dr. Oh the joys.

Poor little guy. I hope he feels better soon. How are YOU doing? I know it's hard being a mommy and seeing your child in pain with nothing you can do about it.

How sad, You always hate to see the little guys going through this. But he sure had some sweet patterns. He looked like he was wearing pinkish red camoflauge.
Great to see you in the bloging world.
