Turtle Hunting

It seems like things have been crazy but uneventful all at the same time, thus the lack of blogging lately. Jeff has been playing softball on a city league for the last couple of months and last night was his last game. They lost all of their games except for the first one which they "won" because the other team forfeited. It was kind of depressing, but Jeff had fun playing anyway and Hudson and I had fun watching and cheering the "Grass Stains" on. I obviously need to learn how to use my camera because these were the best shots I got after taking tons of pictures and fiddling with it the whole time trying to get a good one.

Jeff played catcher.

Jeff has been blessed with work and has been really busy while a lot of HVAC companies are really struggling. I wish he was home more, but grateful for the income. He has a few big jobs up on the Mirror Lake highway that have been great jobs, but it means he's out of town every once in a while for a few days at a time.
As for me, I am still going to acupuncture once a week. The Dr. has decided that I have become some sort of "project" and he is determined to work on me until I get pregnant and has said he doesn't care about us paying him anymore. So, we're doing the needle thing, plus now we're doing some weird sort of energy stuff. Hey, if it's free, why not try it?
As for foster care, it's kind of on hold for a minute. I guess I haven't made up my mind 100% yet. I think I just keep hoping that as each month passes by that NEXT month WILL be the month I get pregnant. And then the next month passes and I don't get pregnant and I tell myself it will definitely happen next month, and then it passes and I don't get pregnant. But for sure next month.....and so on and so forth. The story of my life, right? Anyway, foster care isn't out of the picture, but on hold for now. In a couple of weeks I can go back to my doctor to try to do some more stuff in addition to what I'm already doing, so maybe that's what I'm waiting for?
I'm also still in Cub Scouts which I love. Those kids crack me up. They're a handful sometimes, but I'd rather wrangle a bunch of 9 year olds and teach them how to carve soap than teach a serious lesson on Sunday. Oh, wait. I have to do that this Sunday. Somehow they asked me to teach Relief Society and I'm a little nervous about that. I'll let you know how it goes.

And now, for the good stuff:

On the way home from a softball game Hudson asks:
"How do you make stuff?"
Us: "Like what?"
H: Like.....
Snowmans and
Lights and
Roads and
Houses and
Tractors and
Demolitions and
Pictures and
Trees and
Stoplights and
Sticks and
Stars?????

Luckily he wasn't really persistent in getting an answer.

He's also in a "WHY?" phase. He'll ask a "why?" question, we'll answer, which he follows up with another "why?" question about the answer we gave. This continues for quite sometime until I can't think of anymore answers and say "Just because" or "I don't know" to which he replies "Oh."
I can't think of any specific questions off the top of my head, but you probably get the idea.

(Tonight as I'm typing this blog)

Hudson showing Jeff a picture book of animals, pointing to a rabbit and cooing and saying "Awwww look! Awww, cute!"
J: "Do you want to go rabbit hunting?"
H: "NO, that would be sad!"
Then sees the picture of a turtle right next to the picture of the rabbit.
H: (with excitement)
"How about TURTLE hunting?!"

Oh, the above story reminds me about one more thing. He has been into rabbits the past week or so, thinking they are so cute. A few days ago he asked if he could get one. I told him he had Oakley (our dog). He said, "YOU have Oakley and I'LL get a rabbit!"

SOOOO darling!! I love the curiosity. TOO cute. Awesome about the DR who is determined to help you get pregnant! Yes-if its free, DO it-even if he makes you eat strange concoctions-DO it! Maybe Murphy's law will set it-sign up for foster care, get a foster child, then maybe a miracle?!! Fun that Jeff did city league!

That is so adorable! What a fun kid he is. I'm sure you'll do great teaching relief society on Sunday. But, is it mean to say I'm glad its you and not me?:)
