The Walker Rendezvous is Jeff's
family reunion. His parents started it 20 years ago the year after his brother Todd was killed in a car accident on his mission as a way to keep the family together. It's a
mountain man rendezvous, so some people like to dress up and we do mountain man activities like shooting guns, throwing
tomahawks and knives, bows and arrows, campfire programs, tug of war,
watermelon bust, walking on stilts, hunkerhauser, BB Guns, sling shots, building
fires with flint and steel, cow pie toss, fry pan toss, rolling pin toss,
dutch oven dinner, etc. There are crafts and
activities for the kids like the
trading post which is where kids find "gold nuggets" to trade in for
prizes and candy. They also have the
candy cannon, rubber band shoot, noodle swords, nature hike, etc. Then at the end of the Rendezvous, we hold a
raffle. Every family brings a prize worth $20 or more, then we buy tickets for the raffle.
Anyway, this year it was held up Spanish Fork canyon. We were there from Wednesday-Saturday. It rained the first day we were there but had good weather the rest of the time. It was hot and the flies and bugs were ridiculous. But we had fun.

We found some huge
caterpillars there. Hudson loved them!
So
dirty! His hat is full of candy from the candy cannon.
